Computational fluid dynamics modelling (CFD) is the application of the laws of gas and liquid behaviour, along with conservation of mass and energy into an algorithm, to show predictive and actual simulations on highly advanced software.

CFD modelling can be used to simulate the aerosols (viral or otherwise) produced by people in a facility as well as providing a visual representation of how they move and spread. The CFD model can also be used to simulate airflows in a building which will indicate an accurate indication of pathways of transmission. We also have UV-C irradiation modelling to accurately design the lethal dose requirements to destroy hazardous microbes such as SARS-CoV-2 (which cause COVID-19).

With the use of CFD modelling, we will be able to recommend changes to be undertaken in your buildings or transport assets to ensure that the transmission risk to people is mitigated.
